Baz isn't just a motorcycle coach — he's a rider who has dedicated over two decades to mastering the craft. From passing his test in 2002 and riding every single day for 15 years, to earning the most prestigious observer award in his IAM group, his credentials are built on genuine experience, not just qualifications.

Baz passed his motorcycle test in 2002 and rode every single day — in rain, wind, frost and sun — for 15 years before he even took his car test. That level of commitment to two wheels is the foundation everything else is built on.
Not content with being a good rider, Baz pursued formal advanced training through Merseyside Police BikeSafe, then the RoSPA Advanced course where he achieved a Silver grade. He then completed the full IAM RoadSmart advanced rider course and passed the national test — before going on to train and pass his national observers qualification.
As an IAM observer for the Warrington group, Baz has coached three associates — two of whom gained passes and one who achieved a First class result. His dedication to his associates was recognised when he was awarded Associate of the Year in 2024 and Observer of the Year in 2025.
Away from coaching, Baz has been organising annual motorcycle tours to Scotland since 2018 — planning every route and hotel for the same loyal group of riders. He's not a tour guide; he's a biker who loves touring and wants others to share the experience.
"Baz completely transformed how I ride. I'd been riding for 12 years and thought I knew it all — within one session he'd identified habits I didn't even know I had. His use of the Police Roadcraft system makes everything logical and easy to understand. Couldn't recommend him highly enough."
"Joined the Scotland tour in 2022 and it was the best riding trip I've ever done. Baz sorted everything — hotels, routes, the lot. All we had to do was turn up and ride. The roads he picked were absolutely incredible. Already booked for next year."
"I was nervous about coaching but Baz made it completely relaxed and pressure-free. No tests, no judgement — just really practical advice that made an immediate difference. My cornering and road positioning have improved massively. Great bloke too."
"Been on three Scotland tours with Baz now and every one has been brilliant. He puts so much effort into planning the routes — you never end up on a boring road. The group is great too, same faces every year which makes it feel like a proper trip with mates."
"As an IAM observer himself, Baz knows exactly what to look for and how to explain it clearly. He's patient, thorough and genuinely passionate about improving riders. The Police Roadcraft approach gives you a proper system to follow, not just tips. Brilliant coaching."
"I'd been riding for about six years and always felt like something was missing in my technique. Baz pinpointed it within the first twenty minutes — my road positioning was all over the place. After two sessions I felt like a completely different rider. Worth every penny and more."
"Did the Scotland tour last summer and honestly it was the trip of a lifetime. Baz had planned every detail — the hotels were spot on, the routes were stunning and the pace was perfect for the whole group. Never once felt rushed. Already pestering him about the next one."
"Baz is the real deal. No gimmicks, no hard sell — just honest, expert coaching based on proper Police Roadcraft principles. He rode behind me for a session and the debrief afterwards was incredibly detailed. I've already recommended him to three mates from our local riding group."
"I was a bit sceptical at first — I've done a few courses over the years and they were all a bit generic. Baz is completely different. He tailors everything to you specifically, explains the 'why' behind every technique and follows up after the session too. Genuinely impressed."
"Third year on the Scotland tour and it just keeps getting better. Baz puts a ridiculous amount of effort into the planning — we never take the same road twice and somehow he always finds routes that blow your mind. The group has become like a family. Wouldn't miss it for the world."
